CAN YOU HANDLE THE LEG BREAKER?

The West Dundee River Challenge is known for the "Leg Breaker", a 140 m climb with an 8.6% grade at the end of the 0.9 mile loop.

In addition to the challenging course, West Dundee has plenty to offer racers and teams:

Host Housing - Many West Dundee neighbors open their doors to cyclists participating in the Chicago Grit Racing Series. Contact the Chicago Grit Housing Coordinator for details.
First United Methodist Church Hospitality Center - New for 2026! FUMC is graciously opening their doors to cyclists and offering race day amenities including snacks, charging stations, changing areas and a place to lounge and relax.
Afterparty - Come for the racing, stay for the party!
